Paducah's Purple Pals

Join the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network of Western Kentucky Jan. 26 at 6:30 p.m. at Lourdes-Marshall Nemer Pavilion, Borders Community Room for the Jan. Volunteers Meeting.

In honor of Clinical Trials Awareness Month, they'll talk about Clinical Trials, Education and Outreach and how to deliver PALS packets to Healthcare professionals. They'll also plan Paducah's "Purple Night Out."

Wear purple, spread the word and invite a friend. Together we can Know it, Fight it and End it! For questions or to RSVP, email Carol @cforeman@pancanvolunteer.org.

All Good Things Come To Those Who Shoot Straight

You don’t have to be a yooper or a michigander to laugh out loud at Market House Theatre's Escanaba in da Moonlight. This comedy, written by Jeff Daniels, follows five guys on the eve of deer season's opening day.

Play runs January 12-15 and 19-22. Tix are $18 for adults and $15 for those 21 and under. Secure your tix by calling the Box Office at 270-444-6828, visiting the Box Office at 132 Market House Square (Noon-5:00 p.m. Tues-Fri) or ordering online at http://mhtplay.com/.

AND get this: $8 student walk-up tix available 10 minutes before each show (as space allows). College students should bring an I.D.

See YOU at the Theatre.

In there, it's ALWAYS Friday!

From football games to first dates, you'll want to be at Paducah's T.G.I. Friday's for daily drink and app specials. You'll love the casual atmosphere and imaginative American food, not to mention the charismatic bartenders!

American As Apple Pie and Baseball

Celebrate our great country with antique quilts from the Christ Collection during Paducah Rotary's 24th Annual Antique Quilt Show, to be held April 24 through April 28 at the Cherry Civic Center. The antique quilts feature eagles, stars and bars from 1830 to 1940 and are American as apple pie and baseball.

As an official sanctioned event of the AQS Quilt Show, the Rotary Quilt Show offers up not only antique quilts on display, but a merchant mall of vendors specializing in various quilting necessities.

Proceeds from the Rotary Quilt Show benefit the Rotary Education Assistance Program (REAP), which provides educational scholarships to Paducah/McCracken County students who otherwise would be unable to attend college.

$5 admits one to the Rotary Show all week. For tix, call the Rotary Office, 270.442.3418, or purchase at the door.

Don't be tied up in stitches... Follow us on FB and Twitter for all details leading up to the show!
