Sarah’s Love List: CASA Project, Child Watch CAC

This Thursday, USEC employees and plant subcontractors will play a Golf Scramble at Paducah’s premier golf course, Paxton Park with proceeds to benefit the CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) Project of McCracken County and Child Watch CAC. Lunch at noon; shot gun start at 1pm. Email me to sign up a team!

This just in: Pre-register for the Starfish 5K Run/Walk & Fun Run for the Kids by 7 p.m., Friday, May 28, and you will be entered to win a $50 iTunes gift card!

The race is set for 9 a.m., Saturday, May 29, at Noble Park. Pre-registration is $20 for the 5K and $8 for the 1 mile run for kids ($22 and $10 day of the race). Leadership Paducah Class 23 is all about showing the love to Family Service Society, their chosen class project. If you missed the LP Karaoke Contest smack down over the weekend, lace up your tennies for the Miles for Smiles 5K Run/Walk this Saturday. Be on your mark at 3pm at Stuart Nelson Park. Ilistpaducah Celebrates Cinco de Mayo!

Tilghman Senior Rocks Rotary Speech Contest

This year's Rotary Club Speech Contest focused on the future of Rotary and Paducah Tilghman senior Sara Williamson gave a motivating, empowering and super informative speech. Sara, daughter of Joni Hogancamp, won the local and regional contest and will compete at the district level on May 19 in Santa Clause, Indiana. Way to go, Sara!

Alright, all you big stars! Leadership Paducah Class 23 hands you the mic on Saturday at The Star Bar & Grill to get your karaoke on to benefit Family Service Society. Lyrics scroll at 6pm; contest at 9pm. LP Class Member Chuck Sexton to emcee. Celebrity judging by Adam Shull, Laura K and A.J from Electric 96.9. $5 in advance.
